Varley Germany · Launch plan · Prepared by SearchFlex
One question changes every sentence: Du or Sie? Here is how we get a German version of the Varley site live ahead of Black Friday, and what we need from you to start.
The goal is a German version of the current Varley site, live before Black Friday on 27 November 2026, with enough lead time for Google to index it.
A complete German version of the current site, not a partial one.
Olivia, on our team, approves the glossary and reviews the pages that matter most. Her time sets the pace, so we start with the pages that earn the most.
A new language version takes time to be picked up. Every day we launch earlier is a day of indexing before the sale.
Eight inputs. Tick them off as they are confirmed; the bar shows how close we are to kickoff. The three tagged items are the ones that can hold up everything else.
Ticks are for use in the room and reset when the page reloads.
Click any bar for the detail. We start on Monday 19 October and launch the whole German site in one go. Stages overlap so there is time left before Black Friday. Pink is translation and checking, yellow is Olivia, grey is SearchFlex and Varley.
The whole site goes live together on Tue 17 Nov. That leaves ten days for Google to pick up the German site before Black Friday. To get there, translation, Olivia’s review and loading overlap instead of running one after another.
It depends on the inputs below being confirmed by kickoff. On Fri 6 Nov we check progress together, so that any slippage is spotted while there is still time to protect the launch date.
Every page goes through the same eight steps, from the live English site to a final native check by Olivia. Each step works from files, not pasted text, so markup, links and placeholders stay intact. Click a step to see what it does.
Anything that fails a check is flagged for Olivia. It is never shipped.
A page can read beautifully and still have lost a sentence. That is why fluency and fidelity are checked by two separate agents.

A glossary and style guide covering brand terms, product and fabric vocabulary, tone and Du or Sie, approved by Olivia before any bulk work.
Olivia’s edits go back into the glossary and style guide, so the same mistake is not repeated.
Translation must not add or strengthen a product claim. The accuracy check is there to hold that line.
Full review where it matters most, a sample everywhere else.
A sample of the remaining pages. If the sample shows a systemic problem, we fix it at the source and rerun, instead of patching page by page.
Five areas where a straight translation goes wrong or gets missed.
It changes every sentence, so it has to be fixed by kickoff on Mon 19 Oct, before the glossary starts.
They come from a German e-commerce legal source and are not a translation job. We need them by kickoff on Mon 19 Oct.
About 10 representative pages go through the full process on 22 and 23 Oct, so you see real quality before the full run.
